Vigil and Fast
This morning we prayed out James 1 together, focusing on "pure religion". we walked around City Hall carrying signs and praying. Then a group from Servants enacted a justice tableau while Dave Diewart from Streams of Justice read out some demands for housing.
It is cold and wet outside, but I have a warm sleeping bag, a nice pillow, warm clothes, and the option of leaving for my home whenever I want. It is not true incarnation or identification, but it is a symbol of solidarity, and a recognition that our faith lives and our prayer lives must include the vulnerable in our midst.
Grace,
Aaron

Shalom,
I praise God, and thank Him to have inspired you to pray like that for the homeless and although you are staying outside, like mentionned, it is true that it is not the same as being homeless.
But it is a blessing for a homeless person like me, a beleiver in the living God redeemed by the blood of the lamb and under strong persecution to read that there are those praying like you and trying to understand the homeless and vendicating their rights and calling for provisions for them.
Since a month I do secretly sleep in my storage place but someone whom I have helped by accepting to keep her things in a part of my storage place, and a catholic, has a friend who has tried to distan-ce her from me and has told the landLord of my storage place lies about me and that I was sleeping there and he discovered that it is true. Until then I had a good relation with him and he knows I'm a beleiver. I feel chased after like a vilain street dog but I'm a sheep. So I appreciate your prayers.
It's been a year that I was forced to leave my appartment because of strong demonic powered persecution against me and since then I'm experiencing that I have to hide like never under the precious shadow of Gods wings and wait on Him and His leading everyday. He has kept me and provided for me. He is faithful and I do beleive that your prayers were for something in it, and that there will be and end to this homelessness. I do know that I have a home with God that Jesus has promised to build for me, and that also is a consolation.
He has also given me a promise of a nice lace in a vision He gave me last winter and I am patient in waiting in the accomplishment of his promise.
Thank you again for your prayers for the homeless and may God richly bless you in Jesus's name! amen!
